What's a Bow Legged Coconut?

Warning to people with IM: There's a worm that spoofs IMs from the people on your buddy list. I got a message that looked like this: "lol is this you? www.picture.com/something" Don't click on the link! I did stupidly. So if I sent you an IM recently saying that, I hope you didn't click on the link. Norton and McAfee can fix it if you have the latest updates.

Anyway, last night I went to the Burren in Davis Square for open mike night. My friends Aaron, Ryan and Ray formed a band called Bow Legged Coconuts and signed up to play. They were last to play, so I had the chance to watch other performers before them. Everyone else was pretty much guitars and singing. Some of the acts weren't that good, especially the one who grinded his teeth like Ben Affleck, but I was thinking how cool Boston was for having so many opportunities for musicians. A lot of indie bands and chick rockers started out here. Anyway, Bow Legged Coconuts finally played, and they really stood out as unique from the rest of the acts. The boys don't sing, they jam. The tunes they made up were pretty catchy, and I was humming them on my way home. I had fun, and I think I should attend more of the live music stuff in Davis Square.
