24 not great

I'd just like to take this opportunity to complain about 24, which is the only TV show I follow now. I still think it's great, but...
I know that they have to keep stretching out the plot lines to accommodate 24 episodes, but seriously, the mistakes CTU are making are getting ridiculous. OB and Carl call CTU field ops backup the "gibroni squad." They can't protect diddly squat. On top of that, I can't believe they just let Marwan get away. I mean come on, when Jack and Curtis finally killed the shooters, Marwan couldn't have been more than a mile away, why not chase them? It seems that the writers have gotten lazy. Instead of the bad guys brilliantly getting away, they just make the good guys ridiculously incompetent. Except for Jack of course.
This reminds me of those 007 movies. Remember Sean Connery as 007? He was smart, the only way the bad guys caught him was when they cheated and overwhelmed him. Later 007 movies, like Timothy Dalton, all they had to do was offer him a drink and he was passed out. I mean come on! Do you really trust anything the bad guys give you to drink?!

Whew, it's good to get that off my chest. Anyway, yesterday was the community orchestra concert. Cambridge Symphony always does two concerts: one for family and friends where they charge admission and one free concert somewhere in the community. I kinda like that about the orchestra. Anyway, we played at the West End Boys and Girls Club out in Allston, right next to my old apartment. I had no clue that such a nice facility was right next door. They have a pool in there! The concert was held in the gym, which had terrible acoustics. You know how gyms are designed so the kids' screaming gets lost? Well, that's what the concert was like.
