Cursed

I think Julie cursed me. Last Friday, I took her to Redbones for her birthday dinner. And after a while, she was kinda disturbed about the thought she was chewing on a little piggy's ribs. I laughed it off at the time. Then the next day, I was eating bbq chicken wings again. I was totally fine chewing on the wing until I twisted and broke the bone to get to the meat. As I heard the bone cracking, I started getting really disturbed. Thanks a lot Julie. You cursed me. No, I don't think I will be a vegetarian. Can you really picture me being a vegetarian? Come on, get serious. But I do need to get over this issue.

I had a great weekend though. Got lots of work done and played. I don't even feel guilty about playing because I was so efficient. Friday night, Julie came over and we watched In Good Company. Much safer and less weird than Kinsey. Dennis Quaid was excellent. Have you noticed how all his roles lately have been daddy figures? He's good at it: Parent Trap, Frequency, In Good Company.

Then on Saturday I spent all day writing and revising essays. I felt like I made a lot of progress. It was beautiful outside too and I sacrificed that for the applications. At about 5, I quit working. I called Carl and went over to OB's old apartment to hang out with Carl and Javier. Of course I brought Donkey Konga. Javier made some comment about how he thinks OB would probably be bad at a game like this, and both Carl and I jumped on him. I said, "Are you kidding? He's really good at Taiko Drum Master" and Carl said, "OB's good at music." Take that Javi. And then we watched the Sox game and "The Girl Next Door." Speaking of the Sox, yay! They're in 1st place again. Now don't blow it.

Sunday I worked on applications again, but didn't work as well. I literally sat at my computer staring at it for 2 hours without writing anything. I was struggling on how to answer one essay question. I finally wrote it at 11 PM. Hopefully, I'll have one of those amazing efficient days again soon where I can rework them.

but annie, you had to read my mind when i was eating the chicken wings. I was really shaken up. I'm ok now though. eating burgers and chicken breasts just fine. I'll probably take a break from wings for a while, at least boned ones, but I'll be back.
