Essays blah
I started writing the essays for my business school applications. I have a list of 7 schools where I'm applying. But I'm torn about Columbia. At first, I was psyched to apply there, but unfortunately, early decision is binding. They don't even start reviewing applications for regular decision until January, and that's when I'll hear from the other schools. I highly doubt that I'd just get into Columbia and none of the other ones, but what do you all think? Should I bother with Columbia?
Anyway, I've always hated writing these application essays about myself. But I guess since I've been blogging regularly, it's gotten easier. I finished the first draft of my 4 Northwestern essays. Only 30 more to go, sigh. I'm trying to crank them out quickly especially this week and next week before my stats class starts, but I'll probably have no life until mid-October when most of these are due.
No no no, I refuse to be a hopeless recluse until then. I'll still be up for the occasional hanging out. On Monday, I went to Brasserie Jo with Carol and Julie for restaurant week. The food was very tasty, especially the pate with onion marmalade. I was pleased with the food, but I think the waiter was mad at me because I only drank water and I asked for more bread. Tuesday I did go to trivia. We got 8th place. Who knew that Scary Spice had a baby before Posh or that George Harrison was the youngest Beatle? Yesterday I watched "So You Think You Can Dance" with my roommate. I absolutely love Ryan (that's spiky hair dude). He's too cool for school! I haven't decided which girl I like best. Btw, for all those fans of "Dancing With the Stars," there WILL be a rematch between Kelly and J. Peterman on September 20th, and it'll be judged exclusively by the viewers. J. Peterman will probably win. There's no way Kelly would've won without the BS perfect 10's that all the judges gave her in the freestyle dance.
