BOOM

Did you guys hear that thunderstorm last night? That was frightening! OB's house actually lost power for a few hours. It must've been close to have knocked out the power.

Anyway, work has been less busy for me for the past couple days. Most of the data work is done, and now my bosses are writing up results. So I actually got home at a normal time last night. I made sushi and miso soup for OB for dinner and then gave him birthday present #2. I'm so excited that I gave it to him and can finally gush about it, even though it's more than 2 weeks early. I got him Taiko Drum Master for PS2, which is like DDR with drums. http://www.namco.com/games/taiko/ His reaction when he saw it? "What is it? Oh...word!" And then we went over to his house to play it. We played for an hour, it was really fun. My favorite song was "Toxic" (of course). OB got really good at the drum roll, but his arms were sore after.

The inspiration to get this game for him was from our trip to Martha's Vineyard. We went to an arcade, and he played a drumming video game and really enjoyed it. After we played it, we went on the internet to read reviews of the game and stumbled across Drum Mania for PS2, which had 4 drums and was just like the game at the arcade. I was immediately bummed since that was what I was looking for, but it turned out it was only released in Japan, what a relief!
