So close

Trivia last night was pretty fun. It was just the usual team: OB, Carl, Aaron and me. We started out great. We swept the first round, which we almost never do. Going into the 5th round, we were in 4th place. I was super psyched when we got the bonus question thinking this was my week to actually get a prize. I've been thwarted for so long, you see. The usual team has won prizes before, but on weeks I haven't been there. I don't want to be the jinx anymore! As he was reading the results, my heart sank when the quizmaster announced that "Buy Us Wings Ken" was in 4th place by 1 point. Boo!! As usual, we started discussing the "what ifs," like what if we bet 8 on this one instead of 4 or what if we just said "Venezuela." But alas, the truth still dealt its crushing blow: I am a jinx.
