Anyway...

Writing about my life, but mostly about nothing. Expect drastic subject changes with the word "anyway."

Need time to write.

On Friday I left work and bought a pants suit at Filenes Basement. I planned to attend the MBA Tour at BU on Saturday morning and did not want to wear my wool skirt suits. After that I went to see my dad who was in town for a conference. The conference did not book a roommate for him, and he had two beds, so I planned to stay there with him. He needed to work though, and I needed to do my applications, so I brought my laptop and we both worked. I didn't get much done though, and I think my chatter distracted my dad, though he didn't get mad at me.

On Saturday, I went to BU (eww...BU) for the MBA Tour. I got there late because I wanted to sleep in, and I went to see the individual school presentations. They were only about 25 minutes each, which I think was perfect. Basically, I got an idea of what the school was proud enough to present, and I'm going to use that to say why I want to go. University of Chicago and NYU's presentations were particularly good, and it made me excited to apply there. The admissions people were so cool, and they really attracted me to the school.

Saturday night Julie came over, and I suggested renting Fever Pitch. Boo, the 2 video stores were both out, so we ended up getting Kinsey. The critics loved the movie, so I thought it must be ok. I guess it was ok for a Hollywood version of a weird biography, but I didn't like it. I think I didn't agree with Kinsey's lifestyle choices like cheating on his wife. It did spark some interesting conversation with my roommate and her boyfriend though.

Sunday afternoon after church, I was preparing to start working all day on applications before Jamie's birthday dinner at 6:30 when Carl called. He said Ben was in town and invited me to go to Bombay Cafe with them for lunch. Uuugh, I just had lunch, but I did want to see Ben. So I went anyway. Ben's a sweetie, he brought me some Ithaca root beer. When I got home, it was about 5. Dang it, I only had about an hour to work before Jamie's shindig. After the dinner though, I finally sat down and just wrote. I did get a lot done for the two hours I got to work on essays, but I really need more time. Thank goodness I have a flex day this Friday. I could also use a holiday soon. When's the next one? Columbus day October 10th.
