Conductor hair
I went to orchestra last night. Usually in the summertime, they just sightread music for fun. We're getting a new conductor next year, so this summer, the sightreading sessions are used to audition conductors: 2 per rehearsal. We play the past concerts' music each week, so we don't totally suck with the conductors. I've only been in the orchestra for a year, so all the music has been fresher for me.
Anyway, for those of you who have been in orchestras, have you noticed that most conductors have that "look?" Either they're foreign with an accent or they're on the geeky side with what I'd like to call, conductor hair. Last night, we had one of each. Man, I wish my stand partner came to orchestra last night. We would've had fun with that.
I really enjoyed picking up my violin again, and I know I'll be tempted to join orchestra in the Fall. But this Fall I'll be too busy working, taking a class and applying to b-schools. I'll probably join in the Spring though. Oh man, there's like so many things I want to do. I want to take a sewing class too. Hmm...I'll probably do that next Spring. Oops, I just filled up next Spring too. Why do I enjoy being busy so much?

My favorites are the conductors with no hair on top, but with long grey (gray) hair popping out the back and sides...I'm thinking it could be called the "Conductor Mullet"

Yup, that's the one the current conductor has. Except his is more brown than gray.
