Anyway...

Writing about my life, but mostly about nothing. Expect drastic subject changes with the word "anyway."

No, i don't ask too many questions. Right?

I had a nice, more lowkey weekend. I went to the mall on Friday night on a quest to find a winter hat to match my more dressy coat. I did find one, but I also came home with a new sweater, a wrap, a necklace, tights and another christmas present. Saturday I had to go back to the mall because i realized that my wrap had a hole in it. good ole quality Old Navy. Anyway, after inspecting 5 more wraps, I finally found one to my liking. Saturday night I went to Julie's office holiday party at the MFA. They opened up the Ansel Adams exhibit, and they had all-you-can-eat food. My favorite was the caesar salad, then the roast beef, then the chocolate fountain. I've been trying to cut back on portions, but I really splurged that night. Anyway, I got to dress up for the party, and since it was cold, I wore heavy tights. Julie thought it didn't match the dress, but my toes were toasty so it was worth it. After we stayed at the party for two hours, mostly eating, we went to Grill 23 with two couples from her company.

Anyway, being out of corporate America for a year really makes me finally appreciate things that corporate America does. For instance, when we left the party, we were handed these nice wooden boxes with Burdick's chocolates in it. How nice! You know what I got last year at work for Christmas? A DVD of a meeting I had attended. Have I watched it ever? No.

On Sunday I bummed around the house and pretty much wasted the day. Then at night, I had an interview at Starbucks. It went well. We talked for like two hours. It was mostly me asking questions and him telling me about the school. But we really had a nice conversation, and I felt good about it. When I told Erin my roommate about how I asked tons of questions, she said, "That's how we got you. You were so organized." See? Having endless questions isn't such a bad thing afterall!
