no money

I had a nice weekend. I hung out with Karl on Friday night. We went to see Derailed at Boston Common. It was crazy at the theater for Harry Potter, but even our theater was crowded. I thought Derailed had a good plot with many holes. If you just accept the holes, it was an enjoyable movie. I was pretty disappointed with Jennifer Aniston's performance. She's good in certain movies, like The Good Girl or as Rachel in Friends. But she was horrific in this movie. Really awful. Clive Owen, Vincent Cassel and Melissa George were all good though. I looked up Vincent Cassel (he's Toulorre from Ocean's 12), and I found out he's married to Monica Bellucci.

Anyway, on Saturday I went Christmas shopping again. I know you're thinking, "Already?" but I actually started a couple weeks ago. I also started to seal my windows and decided I wanted to rearrange my room. So I bought new bookshelves. And then went food shopping. Man, I dropped a lot of money this weekend!

Saturday night I went to Gary's birthday party. Gary is my roommate Jamie's boyfriend. It was pretty fun. I invited Julie who brought her friend Darryl, and we had a fun time. We were pretty hyper and were making a scene at the party. I wasn't even drunk. I was drinking sparkling cider and water all night.

Sunday I decided to start my NYU essay #3, which is a freedom piece. I'm supposed to describe myself to my classmates using an essay or something creative like a picture. I decided to try to make a pop up book, so I went to the art store to buy supplies. Oh my gosh, book binding supplies are mad expensive, so I guess I'm committed to making it now. I spent the rest of the night working on it. I didn't get very far though. Making pop up stuff is really complicated. I finished doing the pop up parts for two pages. It's too bad I'm going to spend so much time doing this and then I'll have to give it away. Kinda sad. :(
