Anyway...

Writing about my life, but mostly about nothing. Expect drastic subject changes with the word "anyway."

movies craze

Last weekend I watched a lot of movies. On Friday night, Nahir and I went to see V for Vendetta. I really enjoyed it. I thought Natalie Portman was a bad actress (see: Star Wars Episodes I, II, and III), but she was really good in this movie. I liked the quirkiness of V, though I wasn't big on the whole revenge/murder thing. I think I really started liking V when he was cooking. There I go, thinking with my stomach again.

Then I rented three movies: Harry Potter 4, Just Like Heaven and Capote. I watched Capote and Just Like Heaven on Sunday. I didn't think Capote was so great, and I was a bit surprised that that was Philip Seymour Hoffman's Oscar winning performance. Just Like Heaven was cheese, but it was cute. It was decent for a chick flick, which is rare these days. On Monday I went to the library and got three more movies: Brothers Grimm, Junebug and 2046. I think I have two more waiting for me too. I think it's a good thing that I'm watching so many movies. There are a lot that I want to see and haven't.

Also on Saturday I went to Middlesex with Julie, Carol and Shilpa. It was a fun time. I wore heels and my feet hurt, but I did enjoy dancing. Our group also agreed that good-looking guys party at middlesex. There is value in having eye candy around. Hopefully there is some eye candy in the marketing profession.
