This freaked me out
I had my first Managing in Organizations class yesterday, and I loved it. The topic of discussion was how people display behavior due to situations rather than personality traits. The professor talked about the Stanford Prison Experiment, which really freaked me out. In 1971, a Stanford psychology experiment got 18 volunteer college students and arbitrarily assigned 9 people as prison guards and 9 people as prisoners. After a day, the situation went nuts with riots and abuse by guards. People were so dehumanized that after 6 days, they had to prematurely end the experiment. Read all about it here: http://www.prisonexp.org/
I was really freaked out by this.

That sounds a lot like the whole "The Wave" tv movie that we saw in health class growing up.
