Finally, a break

Ok, so my finals ended on December 7th, and what do I do? I fly to NYC two days later to visit companies. Yes my friends, this is what b-school students do with their winter break. Over 100 people from my class went on various trips last week to NY, Minneapolis, Boston, and the West Coast. Uugh, we're such losers. Anyway, the week was less than useful, but at least I got to hang out with some of my friends. One of them lived in Queens and the other one in Brooklyn. I was hoping to catch a glimpse of Heath Ledger, but no such luck. I think he was at an awards ceremony or something. At least, that's what US weekly told me.

Anyway, after getting back to Chicago, I spent 8 hours Christmas shopping. My great discovery was Chicago's Christkindl Market, which is an outdoor German wonderland. It was super packed since it was a Saturday, but I waited in line patiently and was rewarded with the most delicious ketchup. I got a mulled cider, a wienerschnitzel sandwich and french fries with spiced ketchup. I think the venues were from Germany too because the people spoke German. (6 years of German classes finally came in handy).

Now I'm in Madison awaiting OB while he takes his last final of the semester. Tomorrow is his surgery. He's not nervous, but I am nervous for him. I hope it goes ok.
