Ice pelleted in
Yay! I got a job for the summer! It's consumer packaged goods brand management, which is what I wanted to do all along. I'm so glad that I'm not jobless anymore. Anyway, I was actually stuck in Baltimore an extra day because of "ice pellets." This was the first time that I was forced to stay overnight due to weather and fend for myself. Naturally, i did not take it well. I was spazzing and cursing at OB until he hung up on me. But then he called places for me and booked me the last room in a hotel near the airport. What a nice boy.
Here's a tip: don't book a small airline during the winter. Southwest doesn't have partnerships with all the other airlines (except maybe US Airways). My flight that was supposed to leave at 4 PM on Friday had to be rebooked at 7:15 PM on Saturday. Yikes! So I dilly dallied at my hotel and watched Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous until I had to check out at noon and then hung out at the airport trying to get off a stand-by list. I didn't actually leave until 8 PM either. I was actually in a pretty good mood the whole day (because of the job offer), but most of the people I saw were downright mean to the Southwest employees. I guess if i actually had somewhere to be I would've been pissed too. Or if I had checked bags. Apparently, when they kicked us off the airplane on Friday, they wouldn't let people get their bags. Here's another tip: always carry a pair of clean underwear with you. It might seem perverted, but it makes a huge difference.
Spring break just started!
