Coming close
Only about a month left before I leave my job and a few days later, I leave Boston. July is a crazy month, and yesterday I freaked a little just thinking about all the upcoming events, and trying so damn hard to make sure I don't let anybody down. I really want to get home again before I take off, but it doesn't look like it's going to happen. Weekends are horrible, very busy. Thankfully work hasn't been stressful.
Anyway, last weekend I hung out with my cousins Catherine and Vinny, our only blood relatives in America. I hadn't seen Vinny since 1998. He's graduating from high school, and he's grown up to be quite a funny person. For instance, we went on a walking tour of NYC with a book and everyone took turns reading. When it got to him, he started reading in a Scottish accent for no reason. Where did that come from? Me and Catherine bonded, it's really nice that she's my age.
Anyway, I also had the chance to hang out with my siblings. Tim and I played Karaoke Revolution, which is a really hard game! First of all, I never learn the lyrics of songs, so I'm concentrating on reading the words. Second, I don't know all the songs in the game. And to top it off, you can only do well in the game if you really follow the way they want you to sing closely. Whenever I tried to sing the song freely, like at the top of my lungs, my score suffers. Tim sang safely and scored high, but how boring is that?!
Still packing up my room and making my bookbag. Will post a pic of my bookbag soon, it's almost done!
