Anyway...

Writing about my life, but mostly about nothing. Expect drastic subject changes with the word "anyway."

Memorial Day weekend

I went home for Memorial Day. My parents' college friends came to visit. They hadn't seen each other in 34 years even though they were in California and my parents were in New Jersey for most of that time. Why my parents never bought a $300 plane ticket out there escapes me. Anyway, it was a nice reunion for them. We took them to see "The Light in the Piazza" on broadway. It was pretty fun, and I really enjoyed the singing, though the music was a little too contemporary for my taste.

I spent the rest of the weekend with my siblings. We went to a barbeque at a church members' house. The food was really good, and it was fun for me to play with their three kids. They are adorable. After eating, we built a campfire and sang songs and roasted marshmallows. It was really fun, but I could do without the bugs. It turns out my sister freaks out over bugs too. Yay, it's not just me. It must run in my family. I also saw X-Men 3 with my siblings. Very emotionally draining movie, but it was entertaining. Supposedly this is the last X-Men movie, but I do know they are making two spinoffs featuring Wolverine and Magneto. I think the $120 million X-Men made over the weekend speaks for itself. X-Men 3 was the movie I was the most excited for.

Hi-Lo today, hooray. I'm not going to work tomorrow or Friday. OB is coming for his sister's graduation and we're going to hang out the rest of the weekend. I'm excited!
