Les Miserables
I saw Les Miserables last night, and it was my first time at the Opera House. For a 2-week engagement, I thought they did a pretty good production. The set wasn't as extravagant as some I've seen on broadway, but it was decent. The singing was great. At first I was sad that we had an understudy for Jean Valjean, but he was awesome. I guess you can't really be a bad singer if you can handle that part. It sounds like it can be straining. I really liked Eponine's singing voice, but I found Cosette's singing voice irritating.
I didn't comment on the acting because I couldn't see their faces. I was in the balcony, and boo, I forgot my binoculars. Plus, this woman with a gigantic head with big hair was sitting in front of me. And to make matters worse, she kept leaning forward. One of these days I'll have enough money to get closer and avoid people like her.
